What is your correct dose for you?
A common dosage of CBD is between 20 – 40 mg however the optimum dose will vary depending on the individual and their needs. The dosage you take will largely depend on the CBD product you’re using. CBD gummies, pills and capsules generally tell you how much CBD is in each item on the containers they come in. For instance, a CBD pill might contain 5 mg of CBD per pill.
If you choose to use CBD oils they generally come in dropper bottles. You can work out how much CBD you’ll get in a single drop. Armed with that information you can then decide how many drops to have each time.
Our Full Spectrum CBD Oil comes in six strengths including 50mg, 100mg, 250mg, 550mg, 1000mg and 1500mg. The bottles themselves are 30ml and the eyedropper is 1/ml. To work out how much CBD you’ll get in one full eyedropper you need to divide 30 by the mg of CBD in that particular bottle.
For example, if you purchased our 100mg bottle you need to divide 30 by 100 which equals 33.33mg. This means you’ll get 33.33mg of CBD in one full dropper.

How often should I take full spectrum CBD oil?
How often you take your full spectrum CBD oil is down to your individual circumstances. Always start small and increase the frequency of your doses over time. A lot of people like to take one dose in the morning, one at lunchtime and one just before bed. If you find your body is responding well to the CBD, you can increase the frequency.
Start Slowly If you’re new to CBD it’s always best to begin with a little dose to see how your body reacts and work your way up to a higher one. As a general guide you can start at 20 to 40 mg per day. Try that dosage for one week so you can assess how you feel and then increase the dosage by 5 mg if necessary. Continue with this dosage routine until the CBD is having a positive effect on your symptoms.
In general, the CBD reaches your bloodstream between 20-45 minutes after taking it. So please be patient and enjoy the relaxing experience.
Here’s an example of how this dosage routine might work. If you suffer with severe pain start with a daily 40 mg dosage of CBD. Only take the 40 mg on days when your pain is very high. After a week at that dose, reassess how you’re feeling. If you think need more, increase the dosage to 45 mg per day. After the second week you can then go up to 50 mg if needed. It’s at this point that the CBD should be having a positive effect on your body.

Here are some other factors to consider before taking CBD:
Body Weight
You need to consider your body weight before deciding on your CBD dosage. In clinical trials doctors calculate the dose per kg to body weight. Therefore, people that weigh less should take smaller doses than a person that weighs more.
As a rough guide if you weigh between 100 – 130 lbs a low dose of CBD would be 10-17mg, a medium dose would be 21 -25mg and a high dose would be 30 – 37 mg. If you weigh between 190 – 220 lbs a low dose would be 35 -39 mg, a medium dose would be 42 – 50mg and a high dose would be 52 – 58 mg. If you weigh 280 lbs or over a low dose would be 53mg+, a medium dose would be 75mg+ and a high dose would be 90mg+.
Tolerance levels
Everybody has a different tolerance level to CBD. In general, a person that regularly consumes CBD will have a higher tolerance level than someone that doesn’t. If you’re new to CBD we suggest building up your tolerance overtime. If you find you are not that affected by CBD increase your dosage.

How much CBD you take will depend on the reason you’re taking CBD in the first place. For example, people with certain conditions such as epilepsy may need to take higher doses compared to a person that is taking CBD for anxiety. CBD capsules and pills contain a specific dosage in each individual product whereas oils and tinctures are slightly more varied. Edible and oil-based CBD products must pass through the digestive system before entering the bloodstream this means they take slightly longer to take effect. Vapes, however, bypass the digestive system meaning the CBD will enter your system much faster.
Alcohol Usage
The amount of alcohol you regularly consume can have an impact on your CBD dosage. The same applies for other central nervous system depressants such as barbiturates, benzodiazepines, and other sleep medications. These types of depressants can cause the sedation effect of the CBD to amplify, which can cause drowsiness. If you use these types of central nervous system depressants, it is advised to take a lower dose of CBD. Always consult your doctor before mixing CBD with medications.
Medications
If you take regular medication you need to check that it’s safe for you to use CBD in conjunction with your medication as well as the correct dosage. As CBD is a biologically active compound some medications, especially sleep medications may alter the effect that CBD has on the body. Extra care should be taken if you regularly take opioids, antidepressants, antipsychotics, or antihistamines. Always speak to your doctor or healthcare provider before taking CBD.
